New Favorite Obsession…

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Growing up in Indiana, it’s not a rare occurrence to see an oddly dressed individual… especially when you hit up Walmart… NOW, there’s a great site that you can submit the pictures of your findings… this will keep you laughing…

Indianapolis 500

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!  I definitely did!  I stayed with Molly, and we went to the Indianapolis 500.  We had a fabulous time!  I think that was my 4th time attending the big event, and yet again, it didn’t disappoint.  This year, I felt like it was a big Purdue reunion!!!  I saw so many people… It was like Purdue Homecoming… just add racing!  I was cheering for Danica of course!  I loved when she burst out of her car to confront Ryan Briscoe… she doesn’t mess around!  Congrats to Scott Dixon!  (I loved his wife’s dress at the ceremony last night.)

Trip to the Grand Canyon

Friday, May 9th, 2008

I’m at the Grand Canyon!  It’s amazing!  Pictures and videos don’t give it justice!  I’d have to say that I wasn’t excited about coming, but I am pleasantly surprised.  I am staying on the North Rim at the Bright Angel Lodge.  I feel like I’m at Girl Scout Camp… this cabin is hilarious!

The El Tovar Dinning Room is great!  I’ve had every meal there so far.  I don’t recommend the Grand Canyon movie at the IMAX.

I’m considering taking a donkey down to the bottom of the canyon!?!

Earthquake in Indiana???

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Last night, I woke up to an earthquake???  I couldn’t believe it.  My bed was shaking, and I just knew that Nick was playing a joke on me… except no one was there!  I immediately jumped out of bed to see what was going on.  Everyone was up, wondering the same thing.  We all thought it felt like an earthquake, but we weren’t sure, since we were in Indiana!  After turning on the news, they were questioning the same thing.  Sure enough, they later confirmed that there had been a 5.2-magnitude earthquake!  It would have been nothing in California, but in Indiana, now that’s something to talk about!

Update:  We just had an after shock!!!  This is wild!  I couldn’t believe that there was an earthquake in Indiana, let alone an after shock!  Indiana is nuts… when I was here in January, there was a huge flood, and the National Guard came to evacuate me!  What other wild weather will mother nature bring???
