I still can’t believe it!!! I watched the finale of NBC’s The Biggest Loser last night in amazement! Ali Vincent was named the winner, but above all, she looks amazing!!! It’s nuts! She lost 120 pounds in 4.5 months!!! I didn’t even think that was possible. Talk about motivation! Congrats Ali!!!

The brace is gone!!! I am so pumped! This is the first time in four months that I haven’t had a cast or a brace on my arm! I still have to have physical therapy twice a week to regain motion, but it’s so exciting to be able to wear normal shirts again… and of course jewelry!
While I was in Louisville, for my almost weekly visit to the Louisville Arm and Hand, I met up with my college buddy Diane. We had lunch downtown at Makers Mark Tavern on Fourth Street. I would not recommend it. The atmosphere was fun, and the service was very good. However, the food was nothing special… and there was no one there! I guess that should have been a red flag! Maybe it would be better at night.

Michael Johns gone??? I’m so upset! The voters got it wrong! I don’t know if I’ll even watch the rest of the season! I like the other contestants, but Michael was by far my favorite. I thought for sure that he was going to win! I hope he’ll end up like Chris Daughtry and make it on his own without Idol. I don’t get it… he has a great voice, style, and of course he looks good too! …and for once, I didn’t agree with Simon… I liked his song choice!

Another surgery done… and hopefully, it’s the last!!! My arm is all bandaged up in a huge cast, that goes above my elbow! So, I’m getting pretty good at one handed typing… actually, I’m getting pretty good at doing everything with one hand! I’m still amazed at what I once thought only needed a few fingers, but apparently you use both hands to do the most minimal tasks… or so I thought! Ugh… I can’t wait until my arm is functioning again!
FYI… I hope you never do, but just in case you ever have an issue with your arm, wrist, hand, etc… I found the best surgeons in the world! (And if you know me, you know that I did a lot of research!) Louisville Arm and Hand - Dr. Gupta and Dr. Ramachandran… I love them! They’re the best! Tell them I sent you… I’m their favorite patient ;)!

I have been excited about having a blog for sometime now. After having it for almost a month, I’ve restrained myself to only talking about BlumLux. However, I want to spice it up a bit. So, if you’re wondering why some of my posts don’t relate to BlumLux, you’ll know why. This blog will not only keep you up to date with the happenings of BlumLux, but I will also touch on the random adventures of Nick and I, new places that we tryout, reality tv, and other miscellaneous information that is on my mind at the moment. This season did not disappoint! As a devout Bravo fan, Project Runway continues to be one of my favorite shows. I’m addicted to the creativity that the designers possess. I was eagerly awaiting last night’s finale. From the beginning of each season, I’m always set on a favorite designer. This year, I loved two… Christian Siriano and Jillian Lewis.
Christian won! I was so excited. All of his pieces were… well, FIERCE! Everything from his personality to his hair make him perfect to be a designer, as well as for TV! Growing up with a designer, I have a lot of respect for people that go after their passion, for which most people label as “crazy and misguided.” Christian truely has what it takes to be a great designer. I look forward to see what he has in store…

At BlumLux, we’re always trying to come up with the next big thing. So, it was no surprise when Nick had his next “brilliant” idea…
I just found out today that I would have to have another surgery on my wrist :(!!! Of course, the biggest draw back is having to be in a cast AGAIN! Trying to cheer me up, Nick suggested that we bejewel my cast! He said that I seem to like just about anything if it’s bejeweled. That got me thinking… Wow, can you imagine… (just wait!)

Last night was the annual Block Party for the Neighborhood Health Clinic of Collier County. BlumLux was featured in the live auction!!! Nick and I donated the “Square One” Money Clip. It had rave reviews! It was awesome to be featured in such a big event… and of course, to wear my new dress ;)! After the benefit, I hit up one of my favorite night spots in Naples, Sway, for some fun with the girls… always a good time!

I just got off the phone with Nick. He just arrived in Paris! I mean why not go to the most romantic city in the world on the most romantic day of the year? I’m so jealous! He said it’s awesome. He said his brain is buzzing… inspiration from every corner. Do I sense a women’s line coming in the near future??? I hope so!!!
